The Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI) represents a framework within the public key infrastructure realm, with the specific purpose of safeguarding the Internet’s routing infrastructure, particularly the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). RPKI offers a means of linking Internet number resource data, such as IP addresses, to a trusted anchor point. By harnessing RPKI, authorized holders of number resources gain the ability to manage the operation of Internet routing protocols, effectively mitigating the risks of route hijacking and other forms of route misconfiguration.
